We all know the
scripture: Come unto me, all ye that
labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28
Question is do we really believe it? It is easy to say I trust God. But do we really? How many times have you prayed for God to take care of a situation and then continued to hold on to it and do it yourself? Or asked God for guidance and then continue to do it your own way? I know I have, but that’s not having trust. Having trust is, when you put it in God’s hands, you leave it there.
I was given this
Frog a while back by a wonderful lady who spoke at our ladies
conference. She said it was to remind me to Fully Rest On God! I have
thought a lot about this. What does it means to fully rest on God and
how do I learn to do it?
Webster’s says
trust is the assured
reliance on the character, ability, strength, or truth of someone or
something. So, when you have trust in God, you have the assurance
that He can and will do what He says He will do. That is powerful!
Before we can truly
trust God, we have to try Him. Now you may be asking: How do we try
God? Simply by allowing him the opportunity; when we ask for His
help, we need to wait for his answer. Rest in the assurance that He
is working for your good.
As we build our
Faith we learn to trust. As we learn to trust, we can really believe
Matthew 11:28, we can Fully Rest On God!
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. Proverbs 3:5
Thanks I really need to hear this!
